Exhibition Footnotes is an online art journal devoted to the serious and eclectic discussions of works exhibited in artist run initiatives, not-for-profit galleries/museums and artist publications in Australia. We believe that art has an important role to play in the emotional and intellectual life of everybody and hope to contribute to this ongoing conversation in an accessible way. As an online journal we commit to a wide ranging critique of works made locally and across different media. We seek out emerging voices as well as cover older more established practices. Although based in Australia we also look beyond -specifically to contemporary works made in Asia & the South Pacific. Exhibition Footnotes (ISSN 1837 - 6967) is published by Burning Cities Projects.
